法律名称

If your legal name has changed (the name on your driver's license or Social 安全 card) you will need to update your record with University of Idaho. The required steps and department that will process the change may be different depending on your affiliation with the university.

员工

To ensure the correct reporting to the IRS and Social 安全 Administration for tax purposes, employees who have a legal name change with the Social 安全 Administration will need to update their name with 就业服务 by filling and submitting the Employee 名称的改变 Request form.

Please 不e, if you are a student-employee any change submitted to Payroll will be forwarded to The Office of the Registrar. 你做 不 need to submit the change to the Registrar as well.

学生

To ensure the accuracy of student records and, in the case of students receiving Federal 金融援助, to ensure the accurate reporting of tuition paid, students who have a legal name change will need to update their name with the Registrar’s office by filling and submitting the Request for Student 名称的改变 form.

Please 不e, if you are a student-employee follow the process for 员工 以上. Changes made through Payroll will be forwarded to the Registrar.

The University of Idaho provides students and employees with a self-help option for indicating their preferred first name. The provided name will be used in place of the person's legal first name across several (but, 不 all) of the university's systems and business processes.
